Integrated BodyWork is a comprehensive
approach to massage therapy where there is an implicit desire to
bring about change in the client’s relationship with his or her body
by implementing a set of body-oriented healing modalities. These
various modalities have been brought together into a single session
that is most advantageous to the clients desired goals.
Each style of therapy can stand on its own as an effective method of
bodywork, however, bringing elements of all of these systems
together into a new synthesis a highly adaptive method of bodywork
has been achieved.
Massage therapy does not of itself create healing or wholeness. It
serves as a form of input that may assist a person in recovering
his/her own innate capacity for health.
A Practitioner is principally a student and a teacher who offers
valuable lessons by first listening to the client and then guiding
them through maneuvers that encourage the body to reorganize itself
into a state of optimal functioning and well-being.
